Patricia Miranda

An independent online content creator since 2011, Patricia has discussed in depth various movies, TV shows, video games, and everything else in between on the blog and YouTube channel Old School Lane. Her main podcast Casual Chats covers media both old and new alongside her co-host (and husband) Arun Mehta and other various co-hosts. In addition, she's interviewed people from the entertainment industry such as Fred Seibert, the founder of Frederator Studios, Marc Summers, the host of the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare, Martin Olson, a television writer and author, his daughter actress and singer Olivia Olson, and more. Other podcasts they've done have been PixMix, which everything Pixar, DreamMachine, which covers everything DreamMachine, The Roald Dahl Retrospective covering all adaptations by author Roald Dahl, Puppets Go Boom, which covers all the Supermarionation shows created by Gerry Anderson, and more. She has also co-hosted and moderated virtual reunion livestreams with the cast and crew of various shows from As Told by Ginger to Hey Arnold! in honor of their milestone anniversaries. Around 2012, she did a music radio show like podcast called Nick Jukebox where she highlighted songs from Nickelodeon shows and movies from the 1970s to the 2010s.

Career

Around 2018, Patricia made a fresh start going back to university after not feeling satisfied with her current situation. In 2022, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Minor in English (Professional Writing). For six years, she was a camera operator, multi-camera director, and camera control unit operator for The Breath of Life Ministries. Her love for radio eventually got her an opportunity to intern for her university's radio station for a semester announcing the weather reports. She was also a production coordinator for a multi-media production company and a lab tech assistant at the same university she attended tutoring and guiding new students the skills she learned.

Present

Now, a new chapter has begun in Patricia's life, as she made the significant decision to leave the United States and relocate to the United Kingdom in order to join her husband there. What adventures and challenges lie ahead for her? Who can truly say? However, one thing is certain: the possibilities are truly endless. Animation Jukebox marks the beginning of her exciting and unpredictable journey into the unknown.
